Infusion Health KVH General Partnership is the consortium that was selected by Interior Health Authority for the Kelowna and Vernon Hospitals (KVH) public private partnership (PPP) Project. The KVH Project included the financing, design, construction, commissioning and final delivery of the following Interior Health facilities during the construction period of the contract:

  • a new University of British Columbia Clinical Academic Campus and parkade (the UBC-CAC) at the Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) site December 2009;
  • a new patient care tower (the Centennial Tower) completed six months ahead of schedule at the Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) site January 2012;
  • a new clinical support or laboratory building (Dr. Walter Anderson Building) at the Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) site May 2012 (*separate Design-Build contract added into the operations period*);
  • a new patient care tower (Polson Tower) at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH) site May 2011;

All four facilities achieved LEED Gold status under the Canadian Green Building Council (CaGBC) rating system respectively which was a milestone achievement in itself.  In addition to the delivery of these four facilities, the KVH Project includes the on-going long term (30 yr) maintenance, operations and lifecycle management of these new facilities plus the long-term maintenance and operations of all existing or original facilities at both the KGH and VJH sites.  Infusion’s service provider and partner Black & McDonald provides a suite of hard FM services (non-clinical) under this contract to deliver the required key performance indicators required by Interior Health Authority and ultimately meet the needs of the facility users and public, who rely on these facilities every day of the year. Interior Health continues to be responsible for all clinical services as we all as food, portering, security, parking, laundry and housekeeping services at the two sites.
